Tamila Azadaliyeva was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, where she received her B.M. degree from Tashkent State Conservatory. She came to the United States in 2000 to study with Oxana Yablonskaya at the University of Hartford Hartt School, where she received her Graduate Professional Diploma in May, 2003 and then her Masters degree the following year, while studying with Luiz de Moura Castro. Among her many awards are First Prize in the 2005 Connecticut State Young Artists' Piano Competition; Third Prize in the 2006 International New England Chamber Music Competition in Boston, Massachusetts (with Arensky Piano Trio); the Special Prize in the 2005 International Piano Forum's four-hand Piano Competition in Barcelona, Spain (with Jonathan Moyer); the McAuley Prize in the 2004 Connecticut State Music Teachers Association Competition and a Finalist's Diploma in the 2002 International Competition in Bologna, Italy. Tamila also is the recipient of the Elizabeth H. Walden Memorial Music Scholarship and the Evelyn Bonar Storrs Scholarship from the Musical Club of Hartford. Tamila has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in the United States, Italy, Spain, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. She has been guest soloist with several orchestras including the Hartford Symphony Orchestra. In 2005 she performed in the Amalfi Festival in Italy and the International Piano Forum in Barcelona, Spain. She has played many solo recitals sponsored by the Musical Club of Hartford and Connecticut State Music Teachers Association. As a chamber musician she has performed in the Greater Waterbury Classic concert series with the Artemis Trio, Arensky Piano Trio and with Anatoly Bazhenov, the first violinist of the celebrated Lysenko Quartet. Neal Humphreys - Cello
Neal Humphreys was born in San Francisco, California. He began his cello studies at the age of eight. Shortly thereafter his introduction to chamber ensemble playing occurred, with simple cello duos. That introduction spawned a love of chamber music that has increased over time. During Neal's high school years he studied at the highly regarded San Domenico School music conservatory as a member of its Virtuoso Program. Neal graduated from University of Hartford's Hartt School where he received a Bachelor's and Master of Music Degree in cello performance with an emphasis in chamber music. At Hartt Neal received several Hartt Talent Awards and was a recipient of the Alfred Akon Cohn String Award for excellence in chamber music. Mr. Humphreys has studied under the late Colin Hampton, a founding member of the Griller String Quartet and David Kadarauch, principal cellist of the San Francisco Opera an Ballet orchestras and a member of the San Francisco Trio. He currently studies with Steven Thomas of the New Haven Symphony. Neal has worked with composers Peter Nero, Tan Dun and Frank Ticheli as a meber of various orchestras and recently collaborated on a project with renowned jazz saxophone player Kenny Garrett. Katalin Viszmeg - Violin
Katalin Viszmeg is a native of Mako, Hungary. She started her musical studies at an early age and earned her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Budapest at the prestigious Franz Liszt Music Academy. She received third prize in the Hungarian National Violin Solo Competition, was awarded the Special Prize in the Hungarian National Chamber Music Competition, won the 2004 Paranov Competition and, as a member of Arensky Piano trio in 2006, received 3rd prize in the 2nd International New England Chamber Music Competition in Boston, Massachusetts. As a soloist she has performed the Sibelius Violin Concerto with the Bela Bartok Youth Orchestra, Chausson's Poeme with the Hartt Symphony Orchestra, Bach Concerto for two violins with the Sandor Frigyes Chamber Orchestra, as well as Vivaldi's The Four Seasons and Beethoven's violin concertos with various ensembles throughout Hungary. Since age 12 she has appeared in the Hungarian National Radio as a soloist and chamber musician. She completed an Artist Diploma at the Hartt School of Music as part of the prestigious 20/20 chamber music program under the guidance of Mickey Reisman and Anthea Kreston, with whom she collaborated for two years in the Sleeping Giant String Ensemble Katalin Viszmeg is violin principal of the Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra. She is also a member of the Sylveen String Quartet, which had its Carnegie Hall debut in October 2004.
